Advanced Service Features
Inukshuk Wireless's network provides service providers with
a robust, always-on connection to the Internet. It supports the delivery of
traditional Internet services such as Web browsing, e-mail and data transfer,
as well as emerging ones such as Voice over IP (VoIP), and video streaming.
As Inukshuk Wireless's network is based on the Internet Protocol (IP), it takes
full advantage of the rapid pace at which new services are being developed.
Leading-edge Technology
Inukshuk Wireless fully understands the challenges associated
with deploying line-of-sight (LOS) radio networks, and so, in conjunction with
its partners, it has deployed a flexible non-LOS system. This allows the use
of self-installed modems providing ease of access to broadband services, running
in minutes, straight out of the box.
Nomadicity
For residential, SOHO (Small Office Home Office) and small
business users, there is now the opportunity to enjoy the advantages of reliable,
high-speed Internet service, which is made particularly attractive by its ease
of use and the added feature of nomadicity. No longer limited
to a physical location for the Internet connectivity, the wireless modem can
be moved as readily as a laptop computer to function anywhere within the Inukshuk
Wireless network footprint. It is plug-and-play, self-installed
and hassle-free!
Connecting
Rural Canadians
Through the use of leading-edge wireless broadband
technology, coupled with state-of-the-art network infrastructure, Inukshuk
Wireless is bringing broadband wireless Internet access to communities
previously considered too rural or remote for conventional wired technologies.
With a growing deployment of rural and remote communities, Inukshuk Wireless is
facilitating access to bandwidth intensive multimedia content and services that
were otherwise unattainable through dial-up connections.
